i was a kid..at heart with these shows! :p

am i that old? where are these shows anyway?
it's cool to reminisce these!

BATIBOT! YEHEY!
-
Batibot is a children's television program from the Philippines, based on Sesame Street. Premiering in 1984, with the name Sesame!, and eventually renamed Batibot several years later. Batibot in Filipino means "small, but strong and robust". As Sesame!, the program used both English and Filipino as the media of communication, but after evolving into Batibot, the show became a completely Filipino language children's educational show.

ULTRAMAN!
-a fictional character featured in tokusatsu, or "special effects" television programs in Japan. Ultraman made his debut in the tokusatsu SF/kaiju/superhero TV series, Ultra Q: Ultraman: Special Effects Fantasy Series, a follow-up to the television series Ultra Q. The show was produced by Tokyo Broadcasting System and Tsuburaya Productions, and was broadcast on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) from July 17, 1966 to April 9, 1967, with a total of 39 episodes (40, counting the pre-premiere special that aired on July 10, 1966).

POWER RANGERS! (original!)
-Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (abbreviated as MMPR) is an American live-action television series, created for the American market, based on the 16th installment of the Japanese Super Sentai franchise, Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger. Both the show and its related merchandise saw unbridled overnight success, catapulting into pop culture in mere months. Under the original name Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the series ran from 1993 to 1995 and spawned a feature film, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie.

CRAYON SHIN-CHAN
-he jokes in the series stem from Shin-chan's occasionally weird, unnatural and inappropriate use of language, as well as from his inappropriate behavior. Consequently, non-Japanese readers and viewers may find it difficult to understand his jokes. In fact, some of them cannot be translated into other languages. (ahaha!but Andrew E. knew how!hehe!)

BLUE BLINK!
-our hero, Kakeru, and a mystical pony named Blink. Kakeru saves Blink from a thunder shower and in gratitude, Blink tells him that if he is ever in trouble, all Kakeru needs to do is call out his name and he will appear. At the end of the summer when Kakeru returns home, his father, a writer of children's stories, is kidnapped. Kakeru, weeping, calls out Blink's name and, as promised, Blink immediately appears, and the two set out on the trail of Kakeru's father

-GHOST FIGHTER
- a street-brawling delinquent attending the fictional Sarayashiki Junior High. His mother Atsuko, an alcoholic, had him at the age of 14 and raised Yusuke as a single mother. He is constantly in trouble in school, when he goes at all, and is targeted by many of the other local delinquents. His only apparent friend is Keiko, a girl who he has known for many years and his eventual love interest. EUGENE AND MICHAELA!

-AKAZUKIN CHACHA!
- the story of a young magical girl named Chacha. She lives in a cottage on Mochi-mochi Mountain with Seravy, her guardian and teacher, who is the fictional world's greatest magician. Chacha is clumsy in casting her spells, frequently mistaking homonyms, she summons spiders (kumo (蜘蛛?) in Japanese) instead of a cloud (also kumo (?)). When she and her friends are in trouble, however, her spells do work. Living on the same mountain is a boy named Riiya, gifted with enormous strength, who comes from a family of werewolves. Far away from Mochi-mochi Mountain is Urizuri Mountain where Dorothy, a well known magician, lives in a castle with her student Shiine. Shiine is a young wizard, who is adept at casting spells and barriers, as well as transformations.

can you raise your hands to those who can relate?ahaha!

FCUK YOU Global Warming! -polarbears

The ice caps -- they're melting;
Atmosphere is warming.
Polar bears? They're drowning;
And What are we going to do?
Absolutley Nothing.

We'll argue and bicker,
over whose fault it is that
temperature is rising quicker;
and so nothing gets done.
Not even a flicker.

Disaster tear apart our nations,
and one looks ahead and wonders:
What will become of civilization?
What of our children?
What of the next generation?

And all we can do is say:
We'll do it tomorrow,
cause there's no time today.
Tomorrow never comes;
there's an eternal delay.

All we can do is wait.
All we can do is wake.
All we can do is for our children's sake.

"Ondoy" and Pinas..(and political corruption in between)

"Ondoy" (or internationally known as typhoon Ketsana) showed to us and the rest of the world how bad corruption is.. On September 26,2009 "Ondoy" started its 6-hours manic devastation by just downpouring and downpouring (without winds of typhoon sort) and left big part of the metro capital up to 8 feet of flood.

The Philippines being a tropical country is used to having tropical storms every now and then especially the months to christmas season. But this "Ondoy" was nothing compared to the usual rains and even storms.

"Ondoy" then showed all of us the hard consequences of abusing the environment and political corruption. Politicians focused on money and money and money. Going to foreign countries using emergency funds supposed to be used on calamities. Focused on industrialization by sacrificing the environment and even lives of the 250+ who died because of the flash floods brought by "Ondoy".

This is the sad reality that the phil. government only take actions when it's a bit too late. I know there is still hope. We can still clean up and plant trees. But the lives lost and properties devastated are wounds that would take years to heal.

Right now, we have to focus on helping the victims of the flood and rebuild. The road will be a long long way.

and kanye is an asshole. :)

MY BAR OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE

September. Seems a boring month until you’re in law school. Here in the Philippines, For years of studying law, theres no other way out to prove thy self than to take the bar exams. And then enters the importance of the month of September. I don’t know the real deal of making September to be the exams month for the bar. Maybe after you graduate on march the supreme court may had thought five months to review is enough for a bar candidate. I really cant tell if five months would be enough because I am yet to experience such. But for us law students, it’s a time to show our support to those who went ahead of us of taking the bar exams. It’s a festivity, the bar exams. Especially the 1st and 4th Sundays. Bar operators would come and cheer the bar examinees to lift their spirits.

Throughout the years, each school’s bar operations seem to improve. More so that every law school have one or two fraternities/sororities where a bar examinee may be a member thereof. Bar operations may seem easy. But it aint easy. Ive experience bar operations.

It was September last year 2008 that I had my first bar operations. And for now it remained my only bar operations. I am really hoping to fix things and be able to be a bar operator for the next year’s bar operations.

I don’t know with how would a bar operation mean to the others but for my experience I can say that it was really an eye opener that law studies is serious business. You should read more to prepare for the bar.

Basically a bar operation function as a self-esteem booster for the bar examinees. I am a proud and bonafide scintillian and in our fraternity we do have a strong bar operations. We assist our brothers in every single way that we as bar operators can. Basically our bar examinee brothers would have to just relax and focus on their reviews and we will carry out all the errands they would want us to do. That’s it.

This has been a tradition and I can say this is one thing that I am proud of, of being a scintillian. And I know in the future when it would be my turn to take the bar exams I would be taken care off by my brothers.The support will be there, I just know. For scintillians never fail the bar examinee brothers.

I had qualms of writing about this because I am not there right now in any of the four sundays of September where the 2009 bar exams are commencing.

But my prayers and fervent hope for my brothers to pass the bar exams are here with me. It is a personal note to my self to make sure I can be of service to my brothers who will take the next year’s bar exams.

Brothers our prayers are always with you from the time you graduated from law school that you may successfully cross the barrier that is the bar exams and become lawyers. GOD BLESS 2009 bar examinee brods! Hail Scintilla Legis!

Bakit alangan? Hindi naman vegetarian ’yon. At public service nga ’yon, makakatulong dagdagan ng cholesterol at salitre ang dugong dumadaloy papuntang puso n’ya. Kung meron man s’yang dugo, kung meron man s’yang puso.

Bakit alangan?

Pekeng presidente, pekeng asal presidente.

At pasabi-sabi pa ng “Annihilate the Abus!” Di ba noon pa n’ya ’yan pinangako?
